Terms of use

openFTTH is free software under the MIT licence. Here is what that means, and what the software is and isn’t.

The licence

openFTTH is released under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, change and share it, commercially too, as long as the copyright and licence notice stay with it.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. As the licence says, the authors are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from its use.

Designs are planning aids

  • openFTTH is beta software. Check every design before you rely on it.
  • Rulebook prices are illustrative until you set your own.
  • A construction package must be reviewed and signed by a qualified engineer, and permits, utility checks and local rules are yours to handle before anyone digs.

Your data and outside services

  • Your projects stay on your computer and belong to you.
  • OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence; keep that attribution on what you publish.
  • If you connect a cloud AI account, that provider’s terms apply to what the crew sends it.
