version 0.1.0 · beta

openFTTH 0.1 beta for Windows

The first public beta. Design a fibre-to-the-home network on your own PC, with an AI crew or with no AI at all. Free and open source.

Released 23 October 2026 · Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit · installer SHA-256 · zip SHA-256 · release notes

Installer or portable

  • The installer (openFTTH-Setup-0.1.0.exe, recommended) installs for your Windows user only, without administrator rights. It adds openFTTH to the Start menu and an uninstaller to Settings → Apps.
  • The portable zip (openFTTH-0.1.0-windows-x64.zip) needs no install: unzip it anywhere and run openFTTH\openftth.exe.
  • Both carry their own Node and Python, so nothing else needs installing.

After install

  1. Open an area from OpenStreetMap, or import your own data.
  2. Design automatically. No AI, account or key needed.
  3. For the crew, sign in to Claude CLI or Codex CLI, add an OpenRouter or OpenAI-compatible key in the app, or run a local model with Ollama.

If Windows warns you

  • openFTTH isn’t code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn on first run. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  • Check your download against its .sha256 file, linked above.

Updates and uninstalling

  • openFTTH checks GitHub for a newer version when it starts and offers the download. Turn it off in Settings → Updates.
  • Your projects, settings and keys stay in %USERPROFILE%\.openftth. Uninstalling keeps your projects unless you ask to delete them.

A beta

Everything in 0.1 is beta: the rulebook presets carry typical values, so set your own prices and local rules. Please report problems on GitHub Issues; security issues go through the private advisory form.

Build it yourself

Run tools\package-windows.ps1 -Installer from the repository, with Rust, Node 24 and pnpm, uv and Inno Setup 6. Every release is on GitHub releases.
